Seed Capital Fund Scheme, Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY)- The scheme provides seed money up to Rs 7.50 lakhs coupled with bank finance at concessional rates to eligible youth for setting up their enterprises.

Youth Start-up Loan Scheme, Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Programme for Youth- Off-bank credit facility up to a maximum of Rs 8 lakh for young startup entrepreneurs. Margin Money is 10% of project cost and the subsidized rate of interest is 6% under the scheme.

Empowering Skilled Young Women-SKEWPY- Loan assistance from Rs.50,000 to Rs. 3 Lakhs is provided to women irrespective of caste/creed/religion to enable them to set up income generating units.90% of loan is provided by govt & 10 % is beneficiary contribution.The rate of interest is 6% and repayment period is 5 years, after 5 years interest will be charged at 12%

Commercial Premises Finance (J&K Bank Scheme)- The bank provides finance for possession & use of commercial property i.e shops/offices etc being leased out by the government/semi-government bodies.Quantum of loan provided is equal to 4 times net annual income with a maximum ceiling of 50 lakhs/- Margin money:25% of lease premium.

Schemes like MahilaUdyamNidhi (MUN) Scheme and Diary Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS)to promote self-employment ventures.

Jammu and Kashmir State Self Employment Scheme- The “Jammu and Kashmir State Self Employment Scheme” being implemented by Employment Department provides loan assistance to the educated unemployed youth of the State for establishing their own employment generating units since 1995.

Central Capital Investment scheme(Special package initiative for J & K state)- 15% capital investment subsidy given to all new & existing industrial units on their expansion for purchase of plant & machinery subject to a ceiling of 30 lakhs. Micro , small & medium enterprises are eligible for capital investment subsidy of 30% of the investment of plant & machinery subject to a ceiling of 3 crores & 1.5 crores for manufacturing & service sectors respectively.

Capital outright investment subsidy- The state government will provide 30% capital outright investment subsidy with an upper ceiling of Rs.30 Lakhs on the fixed assets including cost of land for new tourism units. This subsidy will also be provided for expansion of existing units .

Subsidy on setting up of Adventure /sports units- Subsidy of 50% up to an upper limit of Rs.7 lakh is provided for cost of equipment provided the said equipment is used for hiring out/ providing service at the rates prescribed by tourism department to the tourists interested in adventure sports.The established equipment stores must be registered with the tourism department.

Help Tourism (J &K Bank Scheme)- The bank provides loan for hassle free credit for the conversion of residential properties into tourist guest houses (renovation/refurbishment only).Loan amount up to a maximum of Rs 50,000/- is provided per room and 10 lakhs per guest house. Margin 30% & moratorium is 6 months

Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI)
1. Established by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to effectively enable entrepreneurship development in the state.
2. Recognised as the second best organization in the entrepreneurial and self-employment space in India.
3. Almost 90 percent of JKEDI sponsored units are running successfully and many of them are in the advanced stage of their business cycle
4. JKEDI has 1 campus each in Kashmir, Jammu & Ladakh Divisions.
