The Big Story For Entrepreneurs This Week

Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry MinisterGovernment to push insurance regulators to invest in startups. The Government will hold talks with pension and insurance fund regulators to invest in the startup ecosystem in order to open more avenues for upcoming entrepreneurs for accessing capital. This was brought up in a meeting held with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), where incubators and accelerators were invited for feedback and suggestions on the Start-up India Action plan. Tech Mahindra has announced the launch of InnovateMK, an incubator that will work with technology start-ups in the Milton Keynes area in the UK.
