Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP): Under this programme, financial assistance is provided for setting up of micro enterprises each costing up to Rs.10 lakh in service sector and Rs.25 lakh in manufacturing sector. The assistance is provided in the form of subsidy upto 25 percent (35 percent for Special category including weaker sections) of the project cost in rural areas while it is 15 percent (25 percent for Special category including weaker sections) for urban areas.

Nivesh Mitra: Government of Uttar Pradesh, Department of Industries-098uhfdd4 has launched ‘Nivesh Mitra’, a web based online facility for entrepreneurs desirous of setting up an enterprise in UP.It takes care of a multitude of issues faced by entrepreneurs from grievance redressal to approvals.

U.P. Micro and Small Industries Technology Up-gradation Scheme: Under this, assistance is provided to micro and small enterprises for development and up gradation of technology.

Marketing Development Assistance Scheme in which the entrepreneur are assisted to attend/ participate in seminars /trade fairs all over the country by way of reimbursement of expenses incurred towards participation/stall charge, fair, etc.

Nivesh Protsahan Yojna: Aims at providing attractive fiscal incentives to the MSME sector in form of granting interest free loans.

Interest Free Loan under Industrial Investment Promotion Scheme 2003: Working Capital is provided to new industrial units.

Exemption/ Concession from Stamp Duty on Transfer/ Lease / Acquisition of land (Nibandhan Vibhag)

Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme U.P.: Under the scheme, unemployed women are eligible for easy seed capital to start their own micro or small enterprise. The beneficiaries are entitled to a loan of Rs 50,000 per year at five per cent interest, subject to a ceiling of Rs 250,000 in five years.

Aligarh Muslim University: The institute offers MBA in entrepreneurship and promotes other entrepreneurship development activities.

Uttar Pradesh Technical University: The institute offers a course on entrepreneurship.

IIT Kanpur-E-Cell: E-Cell helps networking student enterprises from campus to incubators, seeding funds and angel investors to transform the newly proposed ideas into successful start-ups. Workshops in association with national professionals and national level competitions are organized with a host of speaker series of eminent personalities.

IIM Lucknow-E-Cell: It gives a platform in terms of seed-funding, incubation, mentoring, training, knowledge dissemination and best practice research to convert path breaking business ideas into self-sustaining business ventures.

The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, U.P.: Institute organizes series of Skill Development and Capacity Building programmes for officials concerned with Industrial Development.
